Default failed emissions :(

First of all, he stated it was a 1.6 when there is a 1.8 in there..he said it didnt matter but im sure it does. I failed the emission part...here are the numbers

High Speed
RPM: 2188
HC: 147 - 234
CO: .82 - 5.35
CO2: 11.0
O2: 14.2
Nox: 1072 - 186
Dilution: 16.3

Low Speed
RPM: 1828
HC: 152 - 251
CO: .85 - 5.74
CO2: 10.8
O2: 17.1
Nox: 1186 - 129
Dilution: 16.5

Failed pretty bad...any idea on what i can do..? Has a skunk2 ecu right now, could that be the problem? Stock Cat and exhuast with a chikara header.

My numbers are on the right and the standards are on the left.

try running the stock ecu... what other upgrades you got anyways... i doubt you need to be running the skunk 2 program... they run really rich... those hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide levels are really high

hope you pass soon though

the header might be keeping the cat from heating up properly. was your car warmed up throughly before the test? also, have you tuned up the motor recently? newer plugs/air filter/oil? i'm also thinking the "skunk2" program is probably dumping alot of fuel in....

i would say 90% your ecu is the cause, nox reading will be low with advanced timing which is what race ecu's do, but that also shoots the HC and CO levels up. try a stock ecu, if i doesn't work i dunno what to say.

I drove the car around fro about 10-15 before the test. Should of been alright. Changed the oil about 1000 miles ago, but i havent changed the plugs or air filter recently. I'll probably change the cap and rotor, plugs, and filter. Should a P28 ecu be alright or should i get a gsr ecu or something?

high hc's could be attributed to exhaust leak, plugged filters, ecu making it run rich, ect sensor out of wack. the co's could be attributed to misfires...ignition issues. the nox should be mostly cleaned up by the cat, nox is usally highest when your at cruise with a lean a/f mixture. try just doing a tune-up. honda also has a top end cleaner that'll clean all the carbon deposits.

yes, the skunk2 program runs very rich. i went thru this same senario a few yrs ago. i was running a gsr in a 94 ej with a skunk2 p28. i failed badly with that setup. i then went back with a stock p72 and passed with flying colors
