Default 5 lug conversion on a del sol

i am about to start putting together what i need for my 5 lug swap on my del sol, all from what i know is i need the ITR 5 lug swap and all of that should work, now is this information correct or what? also i plan on adding RSX,TSX, or Civic Si wheels. i take it all of these wheels would work along with the swap. will i have to buy a new brake setup or can i use the stock brakes off of my del sol already? TIA-

1. ITR 5-lug swap
2. Del Sol Si or VTEC ebrake cables
3. 4040 prop valve
4. At least a 15/16" master cylinder

All those wheels will fit as long as the Civic Si rims are 5x114.3.

04+ Civic Si rims are 5x114.3

You can get a 4040 prop valve from a 90-93 Integra or 94-95 Integra RS. You can get a 15/15" MC from a 1991 Civic EX or 94-95 Integra RS (but will need the brake booster if coming from the RS). A 90-93 1" Integra MC + BB will bolt up as well.

isnt that the whole point of the ITR converision? for the brakes?...

if you mean the calipers, you CANNOT use your stock del sol calipers. the brackets will no line up with the hub UNLESS you have a Del Sol VTEC model. in that case, you can use your calipers. if your conversion comes with the ITR calipers, by all means, use them!

buying this conversion used will go from $800-1400 depending on condition and if they come with wheels. buying new would probably go for much more

Don't really mean to flame but the price you'd pay for a 5 lug conversion, why not just spend it on go fast mods or getting some really nice after market wheels like volks?

I wanted to do a 5 lug conversion on my EM1 Si at one point, just so I could have the stock gunmetal ITR wheels which I love, but for the amount spent on the swap plus the ITR rims, one can easily get a set of brand new volk rims with tires. (think 10 lbs rim in a 15 x 7)

But whatever you wanna do man. It's your car.

Better breaking? You mean the same thing you'd get if you were to put on slightly bigger rotors or better pads?

More variety of wheels? Hmm, there I agree. But then again, the variety of wheels being looked at are the newer Si/RSX wheels. If you like them, hey, your choice. But in our torqueless FWD Econoboxes, it's probably a better thing to put on a lighter wheel.

Just stating my opinion. You should do what ever is the best option for you.

Ninja Edit: Don't know if you were being sarcastic. If NOT, then

Not like getting most of a suspension shipped to you. Shipping alone on an oversized item like that would cost a couple hundred. Figure new from Honda USDM ITR hubs are about $100 each, part number 44600-ST7-R00, plus you might as well replace the wheel bearings while your in there so figure another $100 for both. So we're at $300 for the front and we still haven't gotten the brakes yet. Figure $80 for 2 re-man. front calipers unless you want to use your stock ones (not sure about delsol but only EX/SI eg calipers will fit over the ITR rotors but have a smaller piston) So figure with front pads and rotors you should be around $600 to just do the front. I would go this route if your planning on upgrading the brakes beyond the stock rotors. But either way you go you'll still get your 5th lug.
