EM1 Owners I need your Help
Hey Fellow EM1 Owners,
I need your help getting a Denso part number off the purge solenoid on your car. I have the honda number but that doesnt help me.
This solenoid should be sitting on the runners of your intake manifold. Its an EVAP system purge solenoid and probably has 2 or 3 rubber hoses running out of it.
If you could look and get me the Denso number off it so I can try and pick one from a local junk yard that would be great!
Thanks guys!

Update: I cant find that part. Not in Denso at least. Why not go with HOP buddy? If you think u need that bad just get it in Honda.
Edit: My bad, looks like u need Denso. Why? Ill look for it, but should be the same part right.
U could take off the emission canister but all that possible carbon will go elsewhere. Not sure where...but I doubt u need it in WI. Different here in Cali.
Here it is:
Part No. 36162-P2M-A11
Its number 7.

Re: EM1 Owners I need your Help
36162-P2M-A11 is the honda number. I have that but the part should have a different Denso specific number on it and not the honda part number.
I want the evap stuff on so I dont have the CEL. If I wasn't going to get the CEL I wouldn't worry about it, and I order it from honda but at my dealer its $200 and online its still $130.

Re: EM1 Owners I need your Help
Not only will it through a couple/few EVAP codes that will bother the hell out you.
You will never pass smog in the selected stated that require the EVAP system to be present and fully functionable. Expecially if you are still using the
OBD2B protocol. The EVAP readyness monitors wont pass.
The only negative thing about the EVAP system is the small amount of extra hoses, solenoid, canister, ect.
It doesnt inhibit power making one bit.
If one decides to delete it even in states that do not have emission inspections, I would still suggest keeping it around for reinstallation for resale reasons, moving out of state, ect.
