EG lower ball joint
So, I disassemble the front hub to do the wheel bearings and lower ball joint.
On the lower joint, there doesnt seem to be any circlip visible. Is it a press in dealeo? Interference fit?
How does it come out?

Re: EG lower ball joint
There should be a large clip around the joint, flush with the knuckle. It is pressed in and takes a lot of force to press it out. The best way to do it is either take it to a shop or if you have an impact wrench, rent the ball joint press and Honda adapters from Autozone and use the impact to tighten and loosen the tool to press the joints out and in. Doing it with a large wrench is possible, but the impact makes it a breeze.

yea you can do it with the autozone ball joint press kit, but ONLY if they have the honda adapter kit to rent as well otherwise its pointless and you can either take the whole hub off and take it to a shop with a press or just take the car over and have them do it (which sucks i know).

Re: EG lower ball joint
Ok, so there IS a circlip hidden in there somewhere.
I planned to take it to a machine shop anyways to get the wheel bearings pressed in along with all the old rubber bushings pressed out and new poly ones pressed in.
So, I'll prolly just remove that circlip for the guy beforehand.
thx for all the info
