EG civic EX cluster into DX EG

EG civic EX cluster into DX EG
I m sorry to ask this noob question but if i were to put an EX cluster to replace my DX cluster w/o the rpm guage would i be able to just plug and play for the ex cluster with the rpm guage and the rpm guage would work ? or do i have to do some custom work? any how to's to do this?

it takes 10 min or less. take the 2 screws out of the plastic cover around the bezel. then pop it out...dont forget to pop out your clock(if you have one) and unplug your hazard button. then move that out of the way. then like 4 screws and pull the cluster and pull the 2 plugs out and your old cluster is out. then do the reverse for installation. it really is simple as pie. good luck.

idk about the installation in an ek...never done it in one. and no..unless your car has a digital odometer, your **** out of luck on mileage...the only drawback of swapping clusters.

there actually 3 screws holding the Bezal in, lots of people dont realize it and end up breakin the clip where the 3rd srew goes, you have to pop out your hazard lights switch and there is a screw right behind it..[[Screw # 6 in pic]]
