ecu problem?
i have recently swapped an obd-1 b16a2 into my 92 civic si and im having problems with getting it to start. i bolted it in and wired it up and it started up right away. then about 2 hours into driving it, it just died on me. the pgm-fi relay (main relay) makes a clicking noise and it wont start. i have checked the relay out and its ok. the engine gets no spark when the relay clicks, however every once in a while (like after a few hours) if i try to start it the car the relay does not click and the car starts and runs just fine for about 20 minutes then dies again as soon as the main relay starts to click again. im not sure exactly what the problem is, im thinking it may be the ecu that came with the b16 was just bad or something. if you have any ideas, they would be much help.

Re: ecu problem? (Kamin)
the battery is fine because i had to swap it into my crx to drive that around while i worked on my civic, i checked all the grounds on the harness as well and tightened them up. as for my starter i think it is fine because my car will start every once in a while, when the pgm-fi relay (main relay) doesnt buzz. i tested my coil and igniter out and they both are fine when that stupid relay doesnt buzz. as soon as i put the key in the "ON" position the relay buzzes. im almost thinking it could be the starter solenoid, because i know that sends power to the relay as soon as i turn the key into the "ON" position.
