"stalk" the guy. get two stock looking cars together and arm one person in each car w/ a cell phone. Then proceed to follow him around by switching off pursuing cars every couple of blocks until he eventually arrives at his home. Then take pics of the "public sorrounding area" if u know what I mean. Chances are he lives w/ his parents so the next day come back and have a friendly chat w/ his parents about their son's recent activities. Chances are they will freak out and make him give u your rims back and admit where he got them from.
What I mean by switching off the pursuing vehicles is every couple blocks, u turn off and your buddy in the other car follows and so on. They wont suspect a thing b/c if u use common cars (civic, teg, cavalier), they will just think that it is normal traffic. This is how my buddy caught the people who stole his s2k. Let's just say, his s2k was returned to it's pre-stolen condition very quickly w/o the use of any force!

call the cops, tell them you were involved in a hit and run and all you got was there license plate number. give it to the police officer and he should give you the guys address.

Thats terrible man ! Both versions of the Sol were sick ! I feel your pain. We were working on a Straight race version. And it had 11k invested roll cage, Eagle sleeved (G.S.R 84mm) block, Toda stage 3's full race port and polish with springs and retainers carbon fiber hood and completely gutted 12comp pistons, rods engine completely balanced. THE WHOLE NINE YARDS. Car was about to go to dyno to put down numbers and poof pow be gone ! Got car back minus engine and hood of course....

i was at a party with a friend one night, he had a set of rims that he painted over, but when he painted em, he engraved his name really small in one of the spokes near the inflating tube.
someone stole them that night, well a month later he found the guy who had taken em, had his name and everything on them. he stole them back one night and he still has them
i would quit stalking him, if the cops wont do anything then do this. go talk to him and just ask where he got the wheels from, if he lies, pull out your bat (or my favorite, crowbar) and whail on his shin (that smarts). then ask again, when he lies again take his windshield out (he will still be hurting) then i bet he starts telling the truth

So a little birdie told me some info....
I know where he works, and I also got confirmation that he did steal them because he knows where I live, and what car they came off of...
I'm not sure i'm gonna do anything, cus Karma comes back around. But I might leave it up to the homies if they want...
