Default del Sol seat recommendations

Hey guys,
I have a 93' sol that I want to put new seats in. I dont have the original seats now I just have EG seats. When sitting they are very high... I was looking into getting a bucket type race seat. I am building the motor to be dropped in next weekend so I do not have a lot of cash for seats. I was looking into spending $400 at most for both seats for the sol. I have been looking on ebay and have found a few in my price range but am a little hesitant on what to buy because I do not want to have the same problem with sitting high. Does anyone have any recommendations on web sites or bands I can check out that will fit this application? Thanks in advance!

PS: Stock del Sol seats are not out of the question if they are in mint condition but from what I have seen they are expensive.

My friend had those in his 94 Accord and they were very comfortable.

He just had to like custom make rails or something.

Did they sit low in the accord?

Maybe you might want to ask someone that actually has the seats in their OWN car. Y'know. That actually sits in them everyday and not just once in a while.

Without the Del Sol seat pans you're going to find that most seats ride high. RSX & GSR seats fit fine as long as you swap seat pans, otherwise you'd be stuck with a high-riding seat.

How much are del sol seats?

I got a mint pair with all brackets and rails for $260 if you want. Not including shipping.

But I get a 50% discount with DHL/FEDex. Let me know

There's 1 or 2 jackasses selling a pair of seats on eBay for $200 plus $400 shipping, but last pair I bought off eBay were around $150 plus $50 shipping.

I would just setup a search on eBay that emails you the results of that search every day, then comb through what it kicks back. You can save pretty elaborate queries to get rid most of the aftermarket seats.

People keep on throwing them out instead of repairing them once they develop holes in the side, so the seats are getting very rare.

Do you know how often I sat in his car? Didn't think so. They sat low in the accord, not sure how they'll fit in the civic though.

That's my point exactly! Neither does the OP. Doesn't matter. You should have your friend post up instead since it's his car to comment on the seats that are in HIS car. These testimonials about what "your boi" has don't carry much weight.

They may not believe in them but they still exist don't they? Unless you're riding in your friends car every day, like the OP will be doing in hos own seats, your testimony doesn't carry much weight.

Why didn't you just say that in the first place? And the name calling? Really?

You just assumed in the beginning, you know what happens when you assume...

I'm sorry but I feel like you bring the negativity to every thread you post, but I guess we can discuss these issues a different day since the OP figured it out.

Grab some junkyard Integra LS seats (like I did ), shampoo/clean them up, install
Money well spent (they kick the **** outta Civic seats anyways)
