d16y7 in a 95 civic lx
can someone tell me what all need cuz we done swapped it today and its not runnin right and its the only car i have got to drive......do i need to use the 98 intake or the 95 and which harness do i nee to be using cuz we r useing the 95 right now and i aint sure if thats what wrong or not

we r using the the ecu out of the 95 .....cuz the plugs were diff. and the d16y7 was a automatic car and mines a 5 speed

You have to use the wiring harness, sensors and ECU from the d16y7 if you want it to run right. Also, you might need stuff like the dizzy and alternator, etc.

No. Retain the original D15B7 intake, exhaust manifold, sensors, alternator distributor, injectors etc. The D16Y8s have weird timing issues when you try to run them with an OBD1 ECU, but so far as I know D16Y7s run ok with a stock OBD1 P06 ECU.

Don't have to, D15B7/D15B8 distributors use the same case/bolt pattern as the D16Y7/D16Y8 distributors. Simply reuse the old D15B7 distributor

well thanx i think we got it runnin right now we changed the intakes and stuff over and its running better now...but still not much power.....but i guess its stock thats y
