D16 torque specs

i got this from research off somewhere else online.

General Specs for 97 cu in (1.6L) D Series

i did copy and paste this from another honda forum i found online. it helped me out greatly. and i hope it helps you out as well.

nice find.....but arp did come back and change out torque specs to a two step process do to some arp's failing(breaking) with a 3 step.....i beleive it is 1st step-15ft/lbs ...2nd step 62ft/lbs

that's a really big jump in torqueing head bolts down. i wouldn't exactly do that big of a jump in torque for head studs.

For the arp studs... are those steps for the studs themselves? If so, what about the nuts that go on those studs?

studs themselves are hand tight tight...if you torque them down you will rip out the threads in your block....

and i reread the post i got that info from and it looks like your torques specs are ok...they suggest 2 but if physically not possible go with three

right on there scottdh20, torqued past hand tightening by to much will also mean new studs as well. its the same with your rod connector nuts. torqued to much and the bearing goes to S*** and you end up with overheating, spun bearing, and a whole lot bigger headache.
