The d15z1 that you are reffering to came on 92-95 VX hatches and was made for economy only its rated at like 92 hp and has VTEC-e rather than regular vtec. even in the vx chassis i still beat it with my fully equipped Si with a stock d16z6. the vx motor was never built for performance just look at the intake tube you can wrap your hand around it.
