the stock d15 is hard to find aftermarket parts for
you could do a custom turbo but the d15 isn't as reliable as a d16 under boost.
you would probly be better off upgrading your engine then adding performance parts

IMO, i would just buy a D16 (either z6 or y8), for a couple hundred bucks, then i would boost it.
Both motors are great for boost, and you will have a lot of fun.
I see it pointless to spend all that money on a B16 swap, when its all said and done, you have a slight increase in power over the z6 or y8 motor.

Re: (1995Civic)
i just put the y8 in my 92 civic great little engine
plans to go turbo
we had the y8 bottom end with a b7 top running 12 : 1 compression for over a year and could keep up with any b18
so wat im trying to say is stay D the motors are cheap if they break and they are pretty reliable. they don't have big numbers to start with but are a lot cheaper to buy parts for.

Honestly, none of the honda motors have great numbers to start off with.
If you want big numbers, you better be prepared to put money/work into any motor you decide to go with.
However, i do agree with the above statement, D series motors are much cheaper, and fun as hell to boost.

yeah i was also trying to make the point that you could go any were you wanted with a D just depends on how committed you are to the project (by committed i mean how much cash do you want to blow.)
when we blew up the race D we put a b18 in he doesn't like it so we are rebuilding the little old D
(srry got off on a tangent but you get my point)

Re: (eg8tuner)
If you are looking for the best bang for the buck, you just can't beat a B16 swap. Can uaually be aquired for about 2100. But then you have to install it too.

Id definitely have to disagree...
Unless its the B16B, i see no point. Even w/ boost, I wouldnt take it over the D series.
Plain and simple, if you are going for all motor...i wouldnt suggest using the D. If you want boost....go for it
