CTR/EM1 front LCA benefits
I searched the FAQs and older threads. I did find some info, but no real answer to what the biggest benefits of switching to the 1-piece stamped front LCAs would be. I know they weigh less than the 2-piece cast LCAs, but not by much. Are they more resistant to geometry changes under load? Any ideas?
I will be overhauling the suspension on my 2000 LX over the next several years, money permitting. CTR/EM1 front LCA/forks will add a couple hundred bucks, so I need to know if they're really worth the extra cost.
Also, are they-and the shock forks-completely interchangable or do their bushings/mountings differ from the standard EG6/EG8 mounts? Will different bolts be needed as well? Or would I just need the arms/forks/endlinks?

Re: CTR/EM1 front LCA benefits
your questions will be better answered in the Suspension sub-forum. I can answer some of them here:
The forks on the Si LCAs are wider. so you will need the forks and the longer bolts they use. So no, those parts do not interchange.
The benefits of the Si LCAs is you have the option of using the Hard Race bushings. I don't think they hard race makes bushings for the standard civics....
The other benefit, and reason most people get these, is they are set up to run the OEM 26mm front swaybar. You can use different/custom drop links and run this bar with the regular LCAS, however

Re: CTR/EM1 front LCA benefits
CTR/EM1 lcas are identical. Same swaybar, same lcas, same endlinks.
Most autocrosserrs feel like a 26mm front bar is too hefty, and often consider the 22mm EX/lx bar to be an upgrade.
The ex/lx lcas are different also. With the CTR/EM1 upgrade you do have to change the shock forks. Witht he ex/lx front lcas the shock fork is the same.
So in your case, where you already have a 22mm front bar, then the upgrade is definitely not work the $200+ cost. Bigger isn't better.
