Converting to b-series A/C compressor
Wassup Honda-tech, I have a 99 civic with a b18c1 & I'm looking to use a em1 ac compressor & bracket since I can't locate a p54 bracket. I slapped on a p7j bracket & my sohc compressor fits but the torque mount doesjt with that bracket. The car currently has all the original d16y7 ac components. Does anyone know what I would need to change to make this work? I'm thinking the suction line & discharge line is the only thing that's different from the d-series but then again I dont know. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks boyz...

Does the EM1 use a “b” compressor or “d”? If it uses a b, just compare hose/line part numbers to yours. I know I have an em1 evaporator on my 92 using 95 lines and d-series compressor with delsol vtec bracket, so some components have to interchangeable.

The p7j is to use the d-series compressor, if you want to use the em1 compressor you'll need the em1 bracket. I'd suggest looking at salvage yards and call to verify.
