Re: Clutch problem!! (T Rick)
Okay...
1.) if it fits "forward" it will also fit "backward". That bearing doesn't taper.
2.) why are you trying to put it directly on the input shaft? Use the alignment tool to attach it to the flywheel and pressure plate - aka "doing it right" - before you break something.
3.) if you forgot your helmet and medication, perhaps you should ask another Honda-Tech member to help you finish this little project before you break something or hurt yourself.

Try harder. It usually doesn't slide right on - it's a splined shaft. If it's not 100% aligned it won't come together.

DO NOT hammer it on! Christ on a crutch! If it goes on backward, it'll go on forward. Are you sure the position you're calling "backward" isn't the correct way? I ask because your level of intellect thus far hasn't convinced me that you know what you're doing.

Re: Clutch problem!! (Archidictus)
ok so i have thought about this analytically and i have come to the conclusion that this clutch is a P0S and the splines do match up and i know how much of a bitch it is to put them on but it should not be this hard... my good friend is a ford mechanic and even tried putting it on himself and he is even convinced that it will not go on. w00t

Can you put your stock clutch disc on "forward" and "backward"? If the thing slides on one way and not the other, you're doing something wrong. There's no other explanation that jives with the reality in which we live.
