cel has been on for a while now.
its for secondary o2 sensor or poss a
bad cat conv.getting fixed in a few
months when i rebuild the motor.
this morning the cel starting blinking???
was going up hill and on the gas-not
anymore than normal though.
any ideas why
trying to hold on until its rebuilt

The cel blinks almost like morse code. It tells you the code for the problem if its doin what I think it is. If its doing that then it should have longer flashes and quicker flashes. Long flashes are the tens and quick flashes are single digits I.e. (6 long flashes and 7 short flashes = 67 which is the code for low catalytic emissions I think) hope this helps out!


And I think there is a thread on here with all the codes. If the search is working look for it

A blinking CEL is going to be a Misfire code.

Jump the ECU and see what the code is, Or take it to advance or auto zone they will scan it for free.

If the CEL blinks regularly when the engine is running, its a catalyst damaging misfire.
