Building D16z6 Block w/ Y8 head ... ???
Engine block: D16Z6
Cylinder head: D16Y8
Building a new engine and ran into a small problem. when i put the ARP stud kit into the block to put on the new cylinder head, the studs arent long enough. only one sticks out about a 1/4" and the other ones dont even poke up through the holes in the head.
I thought I bought the right head stud kit for the D16Y8 head but for some reason they arent working... please help someone!

you need to buy the z6 head studs and 1 y8 head stud. i ran into the same problem. you'll also need atleast another 2-3 washers due to 2( i believe) studs being just a little too long. there are a few places that sell the arp kit this way. my local machine shop actually hooked me up with it which worked perfectly for me.
