Broken Latch on Hood how to pop????
The hood cable i think came off the hood latch....the hood has a small gap in between the bumper and ithe hood i can see the latch and fit a screwdriver through but i tried prying and pushing multiple little mechanism what do i have to look for to push with a screwdriver or what not to open the hood this is on a eg coupe.AGAIN the cable does not work to open the latch i tried the fender thing and the cable is not connected.

you're f'd.
i've spent a lot of time with those latches, really, and if you're saying you've physically grabbed hold of the cable and grabbed it, and it's no longer attached, the only other option i could think of is removing your splash guard, and trying to reach it from under there.
if i hadn't just ate so much chinese buffet that i was about to die i'd go out and see if it was possible, but i fear if i were to lay down right now i'd fall asleep on the floor of my garage.

when that happened to me i just jacked the front of my car way up in the air and found my way up to the latch bolts and took the whole thing off still latched on the hood.
my car is a 98, idk much about 92-95 and their clearance.

Re: (92EG8)
if you it pops up enought to ge a flathead in there, in the bottom left hand of the lock mechanism is where the cable attaches to.
You can move it back and forth with a flathead, this is how my bro pops his hood too cause its broken. It won't close either till I move the mechanism back with the screwdriver.
Last ditch effort of taking the entire lock off from underneath sounds good too!
