eh yo, i just bout my 95 civic and after i changed the oil, its been smoking alot, like tons of fucken smoke. i just think that it was too much oil but what do yalls think? holla

Hay gangster how much oil did you put it. Did you notice anything in the oil when you changed it. Is the head gasket leaking.

242k it could be rings (unrelated to the oil change) on the other hand it could be anything!

i put in 4 quarts but i drained it and put 3, the recommended, but its still smoking a bit, so whatchu think?

what weight oil did you put in? did you change to synthetic? give us some details here

naw, just regular pennzoil. 5w-30 with SL type but it says that it exceeds SG/SH oil standards so i used it.

The 1992-1995 1.5L and 1.6L Civic engines take 3.8 qts. of oil when you change the filter as well.

Please drop the "holla back y0!" **** too please. It will only discredit you here.

I'd say the rings are probably bad and you're getting the classic oil smoke from a worn out engine.

Just keep a check on the oil level and it'll probably run for a while unless it starts knocking.

you can drain the oil and put a higher viscosity oil in it that might help

did you check the pcv valve? if thats plugged which could be, it could cause oil to back up and burn blue

um..mine takes round 3 to 3.5 at the most...never put 4.
