Default Best Power Programmer?

hey guys i own a 2000 Civic DX Hatch with a D16Y7. I wanna get a power programmer to remove the limiter and just play around a little so what do you think the best one is and where can i get it? Also i plan on doing a motor swap in the future so will the programmer work on a different engine too?

I'd recommend a chipped OBD1 ECU with an OBD2b-OBD1 jumper harness. You will have to switch back to the stock ECU in order to pass the OBD2 emissions testing in NY, but its not difficult at all to do.

What swap are you planning on doing?

the power limiter on the d16y7 is the d16y7 =P.

on the serious note. Get a jumper harness with a chipped p06. You can remove the "limiter" with a chipped ecu.

Get a chipped P06 ECU from phearable.net, and an OBD2b to OBD1 ECU conversion harness.

Then when you have to do emissions testing or whatever, a few days ahead of time, take the jumper harness and P06 out and put your old ECU back in. Then when done with emissions, put the stuff back in.
