Default battery leaking

heym so i noticed my battery was leaking all winter, due to stresses of life i forgot to remove during storage. dumb mistake.

went to go take my baby out for the summer, noticed a massive amount of corrosion on the subframe brace of my ek and a bit over the hydro clutch line.

can i sand this down a bit and spray paint over it? or does it need to be replaced?

i hit the clutch line with some steel wool, it looks ok, but im worried not about the line being compromised and weaker now.

will battery acid have a weakening effect to these parts?

( pics coming soon)

You can try this hope it helps,

The best way to remove alkaline leakage from the device is to neutralize by carefully dabbing with a few drops of a mild acid like white vinegar or lemon juice. For stubborn leaks, an old toothbrush dipped in vinegar or lemon juice gets the job done. This also works well on rusted parts.

I dont think it will damage the clutch line but if your worried just replace it, after market clutch lines are pretty cheap these days.
