Icon2 B18 swap in EK with Skunk2, Integra cat or Civic cat?

I am having a problem with fitting my exhaust setup without having to weld.

I have a B18 swapped 96 Civic EK with a Skunk2 JSPEC cat-back ready to be installed, as well as an aftermarket Integra header. Do I buy a high-flow cat for an Integra or a Civic EK? The Skunk2 JSPEC says "for Civic EK with B-Series swap", so does that mean it's meant for an Integra sized cat or does it mean it will give me the extra 2" with a Civic cat to reach the Integra header?

Please don't tell me to take it to a muffler shop for a hack job. I need the bolt-on exhaust pieces so I can run a bolt-on test pipe eventually.

Any help would be great, need to pass inspection!

You likely do not have an EK, please specify your model since they have different exhaust set ups.

It's a 96 Civic DX hatchback with a JDM GSR swap, stock exhaust manifold, and Skunk2 "JSPEC" Cat-Back

And again I need a cat to fit between the cat-back exhaust and the header and am wondering which one to buy since the JSPEC Skunk2 is approx 2 inches longer to fit the B-Series swapped Civic Hatchbacks (since regular aftermarket cat-backs fall short 2 inches on B-Swaps), but they dont specify which cat to use, a Civic one I assume...

hatchbacks are shorter, you'll need to get an adjustable test pipe and whatever exhaust you want. The tip will stick out like a ************ though. Unless you find one made for the hatchback and cut a part of the bpipe to make it all fit, just pray the welds will hold.

I wish something you said was useful.

Hatchbacks being shorter has nothing to do with what I'm asking, I have a cat-back for my specific model car. I dont want a test pipe and not worried about making one eventually. Again I have an exhaust. The tip will not stick out, don't know why you said that. And the rest of what you said doesn't apply either since again I have an exhaust for my specific car.

I'll just have a high flow made with flanges. Thanks for the help.

I thought the cats were the same for the DC and EG/EK...

you will probably need some sort of modification done to the length of the exhaust piece but you will need a cat from a civic ex model ej8. it should bolt to your downpipe. you will need to extend 02 sensor wires. don't get a high flow just a stock oe cat for now then a test pipe later like you want. whatever is cheapest to pass now. the test pipe it.
man if you want to throw money away throw it my way! lol

Thank you for your reply and to the guy above you as well!

This is what I was hoping to do. I didn't want to spend the money for a high flow, and really want a test pipe for tuning and track purposes, but want it to pass inspection also and be a legal car. I guess i'm after a civic EX cat and hopefully it bolts right up with minimal issues.

Thanks
