automatic transmission shifts too quickly
MY daughter has a 94 Integra with automatic transmission. The transmission shifts the car before it gets to 3000 rpm no matter how hard you push down on pedal. I swapped out the Transmission control module and still the same. If you manually shift the transmission it will work fine. Any ideas?

Re: automatic transmission shifts too quickly (rms911)
The 1-2 spool/shift valve return spring in the valve body could be worn out, causing it to uncover the 2nd clutch oil passes too early. Since it is solenoid controlled, it is doing its job by shifting it, but too soon. And since the D4 light doesn't blink (this is the Transmission's MIL) Nothing electronically is affecting the transmission.
The 1-2 spool/shift valve may be caught, or the spring itself has lost some of its tension, and is now opening too soon causing it to upshift to 2nd too soon.
Does it do this in other gears as well? Does it shift hard?
Post back with anything else abnormal.

not to insult your intelligence, or suggest that this is your problem but have you checked the level and condition of the fluid yet?
i'm no auto trans wiz but i know that's the first thing i should check when there are problems

also not to insult the ops intelligence. but my fiance had the same thing going on with her 04 corolla. i overanalyzed it and looked at all this mechanical **** and it turned out that her friends had cleaned her car for her and put new floormats on top of the original ones. so the gas peddle was hitting the floormat and the car would not go wide open throttle. it did the same thing shifted at like 3 or 4k no matter how hard you mashed it.
