AC rejuvination
I have a 93 eg8...My ac blows but not cold... I am trying to figure out the best route to get my ac back up and running... should I:
1. Take it to a shop first to have them check for leaks and seal up the system, then get a new compressor install it and have the shop charge it up...
2. Buy a new compressor, install it, and then take it to a shop and check for leaks and have them charge it...
Also should I get a r12 compressor and retrofit it, or get a r134 compressor and get the new lines to fit? and which lines if the r134?

It's possible it just has a leak and needs to be fixed and recharged. Unless you have a set of manifold gauges, just take it to a shop.
Why do you think your compressor is going out or is out?
You can't legally install an A/C compressor yourself. You couldn't even do it unless you had at least a set of manifold gauges or a recovery setup. If you vent your freeon to the atmosphere you could pay up to $25,000 in fees to the EPA.
Why would you get a r12 compressor and retrofit it? Get the compressor meant for the system.

One simple thing you could do is check your condenser and fan for obstruction and make sure they're working properly. Otherwise I'd just take it to a shop. If you're set on doing it yourself, have the shop recover the freeon and then you can safely and legally replace what you need to replace. But the A/C shop will have a leak detector to check for leaks.

OP what makes you think you need a compressor? It seems more like low freon than anything. Take it to a shop and have the system checked for leaks and have freon added if necessary.
