99-00 civic passenger door lock problem
How can I check to see why my passenger door will not lock via remote or key. I have not had my keyless entry on my car for a long time. I currently installed my alarm and upon pressing the lock (arm) button, the driver side door locks, but the passenger wont. Also if I put the key in the driver door and lock the car, the passenger door will not lock. What can I check to see why this is happening. I think it might be a bad passenger door lock actuator, but Im not 100% sure. Any insight would he helpful

i would say you are right about the actuator...sometimes they get frozen and will not move even with the key...Actually now that i think about it i just replaced one in an EK a few weeks back. You can go aftermarket a Dei actuator is about 20 and will wire up to your factory wiring.

Take of the door panel trace the wiring back from the factory actuator. there should be a 2 pin oem connector disconnect it put a multimeter on the side coming into the door from the car. depending on which one of the wires the probe is on it should go from 12v to 0v or from 0v to 12v I cant remember if it is pos or neg trigger. If that is happenening then your wiring in the car is fine and the actuator is bad...if you have any other ? lmk.
