97 honda civic lx - put in drive and won't move
ok just replaced the tranny on my automatic civic because sometimes when you put it in drive it wouldnt go anywhere same with the other gears if you turn it off for a little bit it will take off maybe 300 feet but back to like if it was in neutral. Now after i put the new tranny in it stopped doing it but 3 days later back to same

Why would you re-use the same torque converter? It's probably ruined the rest of the new/good tranny as well.

check your atf dip stick (atf AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID) if its dry the torque converter wont work as they need fluid to work.....
if its full of fluid then i would swap the transmission.
a dead torque converter usually takes the tranny along

Anyone else what? You need to change the transmisson again. You can try just a new converter but I'd bet the rest of the tranny is toast as well. If there is a CEL on get the code scanned and see what it says.
