Is This Throttle Body A Good Idea
I have 1997 Civic and I'm planning to get a Skunk2 Pro Series Intake Manifold, and was planning on getting this throttle body 309-05-0045 Skunk2 Pro Series 68mm Billet Throttle Body (Black) at Andy's Auto Sport but I wanna make sure on 2 things, is a 68mm throttle body okay for a D16A? also is having these 2 new things gonna harm my engine it's not modified at all

Well, you're certainly living up to your name. When someone trying to help you asks you a direct question, a direct answer is generally considered a good idea. That being said, you will gain exactly nothing from those parts. You would literally be flushing $600 down the toilet.

OP, when was the last time you did any maintenance to your car? (Notaracist, lol this isn't bc of the other thread) OP, if you want to spend 600 bucks look for a swap for 600 bucks before you throw that money at an intake and t.b. The gains you'll get from a dohc swap will far outweigh what you gain on that sohc with intake and t.b.
Seems like you want more perfomance and a swap will be the best bang for your buck.
Good luck!

lol it's all good man, I see exactly where you're going with that question, too. But yeah, D series motors don't respond to bolt-ons. At all. You could literally spend that $600 on anything else, and it would be a better investment. Starting into a simple B swap wouldn't be a bad idea. Or putting that money under your pillow, adding to it, and eventually boosting. Or putting better tires under the car. All better options than that intake manifold and throttle body.

No. Unless you have deep pockets and low expectations, the only things worth doing to a D series are swapping it, or boosting it. If anyone tells you otherwise, find out how much it cost them, what hook ups they didn't have to pay for, and find out how miserable their dyno sheet looks.
