92 eg hatch with 94 b18b1 idling problems
at normal running temp the car is idling between 1200-1500 up and down
i have adjusted timming its at 16 degrees an i have adjusted tb and its turned all the way down thats bout the lowest and best idle i could get
it does not have bad idle when the timing was way off set for top end
that was not my doing some fake *** machanic did that when the motor was in my teg(R.I.P)
i notice alot more power when i corrected it but then the bad idle was back
please help me out im tryin to sell the car an nobodies gonna buy it idling like that

Re: 92 eg hatch with 94 b18b1 idling problems (STPREZ)
i had the same prob. it was driving me cazy.
I found a loose vacum line on the intake manifold.
The one that connects to the charcol canister.
just curious.
Do you have the stock ls manifold?
Have you bypassed the coolant lines at the tb and iac?
1 more thing did you reset the ecu.

Re: 92 eg hatch with 94 b18b1 idling problems (b20z2)
i will check that hose
yes i have stock itk manifold
i used to have those coolent lines blocked when i was using sohc throttle body with external map but after a while i started getting check engine light so i put ls tb back on
you think i should block those hoses
should i just take them of tb an block them off
or block the holes in the tb(thats how i had it in the dx tb)

no don't block them.
I was just curious.
Hope you find that leak.
(when i was using sohc throttle body)
if you were running with that tb and changed it, did you replace the tb gasket?
