check that your IACV is wired correctly. I know when mine wasn't wired properly the car hesitated a little so that's a thought.
Check your idle screw and dick with that a little bit.

Re: (Jakester9500)
the IACV, one line goes to the coolant pipe & other goes to the throttle body. thats all good. we have messed around with the idle screw forever, i dunno ill let it get up to operating temp and ill try and tinker with it a lil more. any more ideas. why would my tb stick??

Does it turn fine by hand with the cable removed? You probably have the cable hung up, or you have it too tight.
You have a vacuum leak somewhere. Make sure there are no unused/uncapped vacuum ports. Check your vacuum lines against the diagram in the repair manual. Check the gaskets and then torque the bolts to spec. Unplug the IACV, jumper the ECU, then adjust the idle screw according to spec. It should be idling smooth w/out IACV. Unplug the vacuum lines one by one and plug it by hand to see if it solves the problem. Check pvc hose, MAP sensor, FITV.

Re: (suspendedHatch)
yeah it turns good by hand, but the cable sits on the manifold at an angle to the tb.
and im sure i capped off that 1 port, everything is torqued down, u still think theres a vaccum leak somewhere??

It sounds like a vacuum leak to me as well. I have thrown on quite a few intake manifolds for people and my two that leaked had those exact symptoms. Lightly spray ether around the area where the head meets the manifold and the manifold meets the head with the charge pipes connected and if it revs, you have found your culprit.
