59300 cam install. wheres the vtec?
This is a question for those that have this cam. Do you guys hear vtec crossover with the 59300 comp cams? I seen a videos before and it was noticeable but for some reason i dont hear the cross over on mine. also the in the high rpms the car doesnt pull at all it feels slow. I know it needs to get tuned but it is a drop in cam and something is suppose to be felt. I have no CEL and i hear the click on my vtec solioned so i know the ecu is activating it. any tips? thanks in advance..

I don't have the cam, but getting it tuned is definently where to start. Anytime you change the profile/powerband of your motor, you need a tune if you want to get it running right. If you get it tuned and its still not crossing over right, repost! just my $.02

i just installed the cam on my z6 and i can hear and feel the VTEC more. try adjusting your dizzy timing, cuz when i was adjusting mine, at certain points i had the same symptom. i have my timing slightly retarded. try this, this is where i have mine; put the washer on the top dizzy bolt just covering the left side of the whole the bolt goes through. then just go from there. but im on no tune and its definitely faster. seems a little less torquey than the stock cam with skunk2 intake mani, but when VTEC hits you def. know it.
