2000 Civic ex won't start? Maybe flooded? Suggestions?
Okay! Well, last week I was in a hurry and I flew into the parking lot, and parked really fast and got out. The next day, car won't start. It was raining that day and i think that the plastic covering my cold air intake got pushed away. It will crank and turn over but won't start. Would this be a sign that the engine is flooded? I don't think it was THAT wet but it was wetter than it has been all summer! haha
Anyways, I turned the key for a bout 5 seconds, 3 times.
I waited a day and tried it again and the same thing happened, it won't ignite.
It seemed to be okay when i parked it but I'm not sure.
I had done an oil change 5 days before this happened and the oil was a tiny bit above full, now it is a lot higher than that. This is what made me think the engine was flooded.
Would there be any ways of telling if this is actually the problems? Are there any other things that could be causing it. I am very good with cars, but i'm horrible at troubleshooting. Any help will be much appreciated.

Check to see if the oil is milky for a bad head gasket. If not the distributor could've gotten wet and ruined it so check for spark. Take out the plugs and see if they are black from no ignition or if they are good. Hope you find the problem!

I think I'm going to start off with changing the oil then check spark plugs and dizzy. Thanks for the help.
