00 civic si died on freeway. No spark
I tried searching before posting. My civic drives no problem for the past 4 years. No check engine light. Was driving home on freeway and vehicle felt like it was losing power, rpm dropped to 0, engine still running and it back fired two times then my dash lights came on. Tried restarting on the freeway shoulder but it cranks no start. Towed it home. Got fuel pressure with key on 40 psi, injector sprays fuel when cranking. No spark. Tested by taking one spark plug wire and spark plug, grounding the spark plug and having some one crank the engine. Swapped with my buddy's distributor (running car) and still no spark.
2000 civic si
Engine b18c1 , b16 head
B16 transmission. Running stock gsr ecu obd2
So far.
With key on. Check engine light cycles then turns off. Hear pump (whine) and relay click
Timing belt is intact. Upper timing cover is off. Both cams rotate
Have fuel
No spark swapped with working distributor
Swapped with working main relay
Checked fuse 9 under dash (ignition coil) . Fuse is ok
I'm stuck and don't know what else to do if I ruled out distributor coil and ignitor.
