Just an FYI, Maybe Im not understanding something here, feel free to correct me.

Edit:
In fact, I just checked, and the PN for a 96 Dx is 220473, and an 00 Si is also 220473. so unless im mistaken, all Ek prop valves are the same.
I'm trying to do a rear disc brake conversion on a 99 DX and going by what I have read so far (proportioning valve are the same and all trailing arms from 92-00 civics are the same), what I need for the most painless possible conversion is:

DC brake calipers/rotor
DC brake lines
EM1 master cylinder
EM1 E-Brake Lines

Am I correct? If someone could confirm this I would greatly appreciate it, I'm dying to get rear discs!

i was also wondering if you needed to use an em1 booster as well???

Man I'm dizzy, who is right, I read the 96-00 civic DX hatch prop. valve has the same part # as the 99-00 SI one, who knows for 100%, I hate buying parts I dont need to buy, Anyway, a guy here local in Phoenix has a rear disc set-up off a 90-93 Integra, What will I need exactly down to the screw and grease, to make this a complete bolt in w/ no hacking/rigging parts. I want it to work right so I can make multiple high speed stops when running from cops!!

Just got the whole trailing arm assembly, e-brake cables and brake lines from a 1993 del sol si, putting in my 1996 civic DX hatch, I ordered a new 99-00 SI MC and prop-valve, that is all I need right? it should bolt right in, right?

In the write-up it said if you have a 96-98 EX you don't need to change the MC...

What about a 00 EX? They didn't downgrade again or anything did they...anybody have luck with keeping a 99-00 EX MC?

I am actually in the middle of getting the parts for my 96 DX hatch. I got the trailing arms from a 99 EM1 Si and when I looked into the prob valve it was the same part number for both cars.. So how can they be different?? how ever the MC is a different part number so for what I gather my prop valve is fine I just need a 99-00 Si MC... Is this correct???

When people say ek they generally mean any 96-00 civic no matter what model thats just what they call it. Our si has a b16 and is equivalent to your siR, even in the states my insurance card said siR on it. Our EX model has the d16y8 your si has, all models including EX, Si, siR have disc brake's im pretty certain.

On a side note, i picked up a super complete 94-01 integra rear disc setup last night for my 4 door LX. It included the whole trailing arm, discs, calipers, e-brake lines, and uncut brake lines. The brake pads even look fairly new with lots of life left All this for $150 local pickup, do you guys think i got a good deal? I know i still need to get a 15/16 MC but thats easy to find.

I have a 98 dx hatch and the rear drums are shot and need replaced. I would much rather do the rear disc swap. I've read and read the posts here and I just want to make sure I have this correct before I go out buying parts. I want to use the 94-01 tegi setup so I need the trailing arms and all attached units plus the tegi mc and booster, and si e brake cables? An help is appreciated and thank you in advance.

What part of this is tripping you up?
"Here's what you need to make it the EASIEST pain-free install:

1. 93-97 delsol or 94-01 integra or 99-00 Si or "some" 92-95 Civic Si trailing arm assembly.
2. delsol/Si rear brake lines (if you use integra trailing arms/calipers you need INTEGRA brake lines...they have a COMPLETELY different caliper attachment that WILL NOT work with delsol/si calipers).
3. 99-00 Si Emergency brake lines (integra lines will work but they come together into a single rubber floorpan grommet which you'll have to hack up and you could hear wind noise, etc under the carpet).
4. 99-00 Si Master cylinder/proportioning valve (you can go with integra parts but you'll have to flare lines, etc) the Si stuff is drop in."

There's a guy selling a rear disk conversion. He states that he has EM1 calipers and early 90's Integra trailing arms. He also states that he has Stoptech SS brake lines (I'm not sure which ones, but I'll ask).

My question is, will there be any issues running the EM1 calipers on the Integra trailing arms? I'm considering jumping on this deal, but just new to my EJ6 setup and want to avoid any potential issues. Oh yeah, btw I have an EJ6 DX Hatchback.

I don't understand why you would ask about a combo NOT listed in this guide. This guide is for the combo of parts listed ONLY. If you have a different Frankenstein combo you should search out another thread like this one.

May not get a reply to this but what the heck. I got a 96 civic dx w/o abs and im about to pick a set of 94 integra trailing arms assemblies. Can i use the civic si prop valve and mc with the integra arms/ brake lines??? Do i even need to change my MC? or just my Prop valve? Any help would be much appreciated, the bold is the most important question..

I am doing the rear disc swap on my EG sedan. The E-Brake cables are on B/O for the 92-95 EX sedan, what are my other choices? I cannot find a for sure parts list anywhere.

The ENTIRE parts list is in the first post. Maybe you missed when he said
"1. 93-97 delsol or 94-01 integra or 99-00 Si or "some" 92-95 Civic Si trailing arm assembly.
2. delsol/Si rear brake lines (if you use integra trailing arms/calipers you need INTEGRA brake lines...they have a COMPLETELY different caliper attachment that WILL NOT work with delsol/si calipers).
3. 99-00 Si Emergency brake lines (integra lines will work but they come together into a single rubber floorpan grommet which you'll have to hack up and you could hear wind noise, etc under the carpet).
4. 99-00 Si Master cylinder/proportioning valve (you can go with integra parts but you'll have to flare lines, etc) the Si stuff is drop in."
and
"I bought my 99-00 Si e-brake cables at the local honda dealer for $88.00 a piece just for peace of mind that they were new and I got 99-00 Si brake lines new from Parks auto parts for $16.00 each, again for peace of mind that used lines could possibly fail. ".

First off, let me clarify one thing, when doing the swap from drums, NOTHING but regular Civic Si ebrake cables will work on a civic without some sort of modification, unless you find one of the rare EX with rear disc's cables (not sure of that p/n). I know most civics 96-00 if not all with drums have the same parking brake cable. DEL SOL cables will NOT be OEM fit. Neither will integra (as if that hasn't been stated enough). You need to buy the the SI ebrake cables. Secondly, I worked at a dealership for a while, there is NOTHING different between the dx/lx and SI proportioning valve. Yes, I know one is for drums and one for disc and blah blah, but Honda mainly uses these as a reservoir not an actual proportioning valve. If the part number is the same, IT'S the SAME PART. Get onto majestic honda if you are unsure. I highly suggest upgrading the M/C if you don't have the EX as the braking is a bit more responsive. However, the EX DOESN'T have the same proportioning valve, and I would recommend changing it as the EX has larger brakes than the other trims and I believe it actually does do some real proportioning. Most of the things I have read about rotor damage etc.... from not changing out the proportioning valves has been on ex models. I think the rest was simply from a dirty valve and collapsed / clogged lines. Please be careful with what goes into your brake lines. Anyway, I've done a few of these and so far following this guide and the suggestions above I have had no problems. yay for HT and awesome write-ups!

ok i know that i need just about everything for my 98 cx w/o ABS. but just so i can be clear i DO need the trailing arm off a 94 to 01 integra. then i need disks, caliper assembly, brake lines, and the disk housing (piece that goes behind disk to simulate a drum brake in that position). and finally do i need anything else that i didnt mention. p.s. i do not have a really deep pocket just enough to get stock like disk parts. thanks
