Default Just replaced my clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder. Passing on some tips!

Sorry I didn't take any pictures. This was my first time doing this and I really haven't worked on the 06-11 Si too much.

It took me about 45mins-1hr start to finish (stupid learning curve) for the CMC and slave cyl replacement. Read below as to why it took me so damn long.

Tips I can give are:
-it takes 5 mins to remove the cowl. Remove the GD cowl instead of fighting with it. I also removed the entire stock box and tubes all the way to the in-bumper suction tube....as well as battery and tray.

-Next time I do this, I think I will wrap a coat hanger around the eyelet of the CMC fork (where it attaches to the pedal). That way I can fish the hanger thru and pull the CMC shaft into the cabin instead of trying to grope in the dark for the hole like it's junior year prom or something.

-hand position is everything. I was laying on top of the engine for a lot of the time. Other times, I'd stand by the fender or bumper. Switch arms if you're having trouble. You'll be surprised at how much it might help.

-the line being in the right position should be your guide. Most of the positioning of the CMC can be done by manipulating the line. Don't break it or kink it.

-Don't forget the rubber donut if you have to switch swivel fittings over. I could have sworn I switched it over...but I didn't. I would have been done in a half hour if I didn't have to do it twice lol.

-keep it clean, y0. Keep a rag or paper towels around to wipe any spilled fluid or grease. No use in trying to fight thru a slippery mess. **** will slip, you'll yell obscenities, cops will come, and then it'll end up taking forever.

-I used honda high temp urea grease to lube the ball part of the CMC. I also used it to lube the pin and the slave cyl rod. Clean the clutch fork with brake cleaner and a rag before applying new grease. You don't want a case of the creaks.

Well....a lot of the DIY's I saw said only jive *** suckas need to remove the cowl. Surely, they jest. It makes it so much easier. I also haven't seen anything with the coat hanger fishing the MC rod thru the opening. I thought I was being brilliant :'(.

But hey. Thanks for crushing my dreams.
