QUOTE=TheMuffinMan]Lol, rather than ask someone who probably doesn't know.
Why don't you be self-reliant and go to Apexi's website and look at the compatibility chart for the VAFCII[/QUOTE]
i went to the apexi's website and they did not have a compatibility chart nor could i find the VAFC II. Any other suggestions

Also there are several threads on 8thcivic stating that none of them work.

^go ahead and be stubborn. no one has vtec controllers in their 8th gen civics. none of them work with our drive by wire. go find out for yourself through your shop and then come back to this thread for a lot of "i told ya so's"

Re: (autoxmyef)
"From Ecrater.com Apexi VAFC II
The VAFC II also allows for the VTEC engagement point to be manipulated from 3000-7000 RPM, including the new i-VTEC systems. The redesigned case features a center push button with a rotating outer switch for easy and precise data input. To protect data maps from being tampered with, the new VAFC II features a password protection system."
thats what i found and i still may be wrong but would put that it is compatible with the ivtec when its not....and im sorry for being an a hole..but i really want somthing like this for my 08 FA5 si....so do you think they will ever come out with one that will work??
sorry again

it's a waste of money....let it go.
I had one waaay back in the day (like 2003).....you are really limited as far as tuning goes if you're trying to use that thing.

It probably works on ep3, and dc5's which use cable throttle bodies and not DBW like the FG2/FA5. Once again it doesn't work get over it.
