Come on! NoOne will notice bc it's on the inside. But when someone buys those Red H and then put on some "Type R" badge on their car that's okay because we're driving a civic, correct?
It's their car and unless it's something that will pose potential harzad, then we should give useful information.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Ok way to post the worst analogies ever
She wants to put in a guage cluster than shows incorrect information, specifically the redline. What if she isn't paying attention? Bouncing off the rev-limiter is just going to cause hell on that motor eventually...
How can you even compare that with something like a sticker that is of an 'H'.. we all drive hondas man. Not only that.. but seats? Who cares if someone wants more comfortable/stylish seats.. that's COMPLETELY different from a gauge cluster on the wrong car.

so what about people with spoon clusters that run well past 8K. if they're not paying attention they're screwed? i've bounced off the rev limiter trillions of times and never attriubuted that to motor failure.

My Si came with a cluster, and it's going to get replaced, so I don't really need it anymore

Re: (COMplex.)
too much bashing going on these days
for our base model clusters, there is a way to just change the color to red or any color. ive seen it done before. it still has the 6.7k redline and everything else.

Dude you need to chill, Demonis is right.
Putting an SI cluster into a regular civic is pure retardedness. Now you'll have conflicting color schemes.. your car will say SI when it's not (which pisses a lot of people off, not particularly me), and worst of all, your RPM gauge will completely throw you off if you aren't paying attention. It's just not worth it.</TD></TR></TABLE>
He didn't have to be a Dick about it is all... All it does is add to HT Rep, that being that most of the members not giving advise, but rather putting other peoples ideas down.

Smarter than you because when you play with the auto-shifter you can bounce of the rev-limiter. for not knowing what you're talking about and then bashing me.
And why do you guys keep bringing in other crap like other people putting spoon clusters in their civics. I think that is retarded as well..

your's is wrong my friend. as stated early even if she wasn't paying attention and bounced off the limiter there is no harm or foul. thats what its there for. I haven't experienced motor failure cuz of it and i've never heard of anyone here that has blown a motor from hitting the limiter too many times.
you're starting to cry a river dude....OP is gonna do whatever the hell she sees fit. why are you against it....it aint your car.

Re: si cluster (elohel)
Screw everyone else! Build YOUR Honda the way YOU want it!!
[QUOTE=elohel]
Not only that.. but why does everyone say a red H badge is a Type R wannabe? That's the most retarded thing I've seen on HT yet. It's a red H!!! Not a type-R badge.. [QUOTE]
Nope....the dumbest thing I see on HT is those JDM Novice/Elder badges....fools put the Novice sticker in their windshield like they're in Japan or a new driver....are you telling me to look out for your dumbass on the road because you don't know how to drive or what.....It's BS like this that makes me wonder why there are so many douchebag FG drivers and makes me regret getting rid any of my civics or integs and getting an FG.
FTW...enjoy your car, mod it how you want.
The thread is just asking if anyone had an Si cluster for sale, not a "what do you think" thread. Think before you reply.

I'm not upset over anything.. If she wants bright red and blue lights in her face, go ahead. I personally think it would look retarded. Not only that, but it would look even more stupid seeing the tach shifting before the redline every single shift.
And as per the rev-limiter, how do you know that doesn't cause any harm? Cutting fuel from the motor constantly can't be GOOD, can it? I'm not saying I'm a honda tech and can prove this.. but neither can you. But if it's so good, why don't you just bounce off the limiter every shift and see what happens down the line? Exactly.
