non navi si. Can i put in a aftermarket radio in or a touch screen dvd-navi?
I see the non navi civic has a built in stereo was wonderin if it was possible to install a aftermarket radio in or a dvd- navi in. What parts do i need to replace if it was possible and do i need to change the plastic where the radio is?

Yes it is possible. It is even possible to retrofit the OEM navi into a non-navi. Search around. I think there are a couple threads on this.

as the above posters said. you can put in anything you would like. but since you mentioned this was an si you were putting it into, Youll, have to bypass the factory amplifier. You cant amplify an already amplified signal.
when i bought my si, the navi model was on a waiting list 6 months long and the aftermarket navi systems didnt offer as much as i wanted, so i made my own.
btw heres the info for the plugs on the amp in the si when i did my system it took the guys at honda 2 hours searching thru diagrams for the car to find this. you can find it in the center consel in front of the shifter by the srs controller. stay away from the yellow wires.
