Just get some Allen head and Torx hardware to mount the ECU, person will be like fuuuuuuuuuuuuu. I told my cousin to do that to his P28 on his EM1, never did and they jacked it haha.
That be pretty interesting to find out and im almost sure they towed it out.

How are you going to get a key that is chipped to that exact car? Its not like old civic keys where there are only like 12 different ones.
maybe if you had the vin# to a car you wanted and worked at a dealership maybe but prob not going to happen

idk where it happened, i was just washing my car one day when i realized the rear bumper was keyed just under the left taillight, and it has a minor dent on the passenger side window sill thing lol the day i saw the dent was after church and there was like orange soda spilled and dried all over my hood.

Re: New SI --- how bad is theft?
The reason why we're starting to see Type-S getting stolen is because you can use kpro to disengage the immobilizer and start them and drive off with them, and most of them that are stolen are already kpro'd so the thieves have no reason to bring their own ****, just hack the ecu and adios. The new Si is hard/impossible to steal because there's almost no way to disengage the immobilizer unless you have a factory key, so thieves options are A) tow truck, or B) get an expensive *** key cut haha.

I know there is no way that a car is 100% theft proof but I was searching through ebay and I stumbled through this
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/07-08...item27af5317e1
This FA5 was stripped and it look like it they busted the steering column to start the car. I know nothing can beat the almighty tow truck, but just curious what do you guys think how this car was stolen. I'm still a bit weary on purchasing an Si because theft may rise in this car. I had my Acura Integra stolen at school (broke steering column to start the car), so I know the feeling coming back to your car and not seeing it there. Are there many cases that 8th Gen Si being stolen? Sad too, the car was pretty much brand new with 1,649 on the odometer.

Well everytime I park my Si, I hit the lock button twice and my theft/ex-girlfriend/hater shield fully engulfs the car! Its impervious to anything!

You can't just get a key cut to your Si unless you have a thief friend who works a the dealer too. Proof of ownership and insurance is needed from my dealer before they do any cutting. Not sure but I don't think FP can disengage the immobolizer either. Si will get there but it will be some time before some low life thief figures out things. As always nothing a tow truck cannot handle, a car is never 100% safe unless you sleep in it every night with a nice shotty and a huge pit.
Not to mention converting DBW to a cable wire is not that easy either. Have not heard of it being done just yet but again people will figure out a way some how some way.

/\ Ive seen a few Si's get jacked from around the city recently, but i dont think any have FP. If they really want to joyride or stirp it, not much is gonna stop em, sadly.

Re: New SI --- how bad is theft?
lets face it any car has a good chance of getting stolen for something. My friends brand new gtr was broken into and the wheels were taken and he was left with two jacks. It doesnt matter what kind of car you drive if someone is motivated to grab something or you provide a "easy" theft then it will be gone. Luckily the crimes rates are low where I live
