LED Strip-Trunk Lighting-NEED HELP PLEASE
I bought an LED strip and wanted to install it in the trunk, to give more lighting. I figured I could splice into the Trunk Light, but when I tried connecting the wires, Only the Trunk light work, the LED strip didn't come on at all.
I should just have to splice into wires only right?
So, Question is do I go Red to White & Black to Blue OR Red to Blue & Black to White?
The LED strip has just Red & Black wire.
OEM harness is Blue & White.
ANY HELP would be GREAT!

you need a DMM to test the voltage on the trunk light wiring you need to find out which wire is + and which wire is - than tap the red wire to the + and the black to the -. The other thing you need to know is is the led light bar 12 volts?

what I did was I left the trunk light mounted, but I cut the wires and soldered them directly to the LED and I haven't had any problems>
