K20a Type R engine in 06+ Civic Si
Has anyone swapped a K20a Type R engine into a 06+ Civic Si yet or know any information about it? Price, labor, fit, emissions, etc.?
I checked around the internet and only found K series Type R motors going into older Hondas. Maybe its not worth swapping out the 06+ Civic Si motor yet for it? Who knows, any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

why would you for such minimal gains.. put some bolt ons in and your good. Only reason I can see the benefit to replacing the k20z3 with a K20R motor is if you blew up your stock z3 and are out of warranty.

I'd understand if you blew your oem motor to replace to a K20A, but not just for ***** and giggles. Whatever blows your skirt up a I guess.

Yeah I totally agree with you guys about only replacing if my K20Z3 went to ish. I have seen that video on youtube about the LX with the swap, however, the guy in the video states it was a pain in the *** to swap out going from R18 to K series. My question is, how much of a pain would it be for a K series swapped for a K series. Sounds easy on paper. Plus, what about emissions for it, any difference?
