Maybe you can upload the MICU eeprom file in a new thread at this other site to see if someone can edit some of the file to make it like a virgin file. (The following thread link is different in that it related to an earlier generation Civic and a file dump from the ECM eeprom; and they were turning off the IMMO. )

This is not an exact match and probably won't help but I was able to pull the rom off the MICU from a 2012 Civic SI coupe. EEPROM reader was able to read the rom with the chip still soldered in place. I will see about digging out that 2006 CR-V MICU.

maybe your 2006 crv micu is the same from my MICU civic 2007 .

2012 SI MICU has a part number of 38200-TS8-A41 and the 2006 CR-V MICU is 38200-S9A-A02

Seems every trim level gets a unique part number on these. Probably because they come programmed for the application. As far as I know there is no way to change the programming in the field with something like an HDS or scan tool.

Doesn't surprise me the 2012 would be drastically different from the 2007. A whole new generation with a new immobilizer version. However I do know that the Type 6 and Type 7 immobilizer parts can be mixed and matched.

I never solved the problem and my car has been sitting next to my house since. If you have a solution, I'm all ears.
