Funny brake noise
I have this annoying sound coming from the brakes on my FA5. Basically sounds like they are squeaking as if they were finished. The pads still have about 60% life on them.
My mechanic tried to clean the pads by removing the accumulation of junk in the little cut the pad has in the middle. Still hasn't taken care of the issue!
Has anybody had this situation?
Also what pads are you guys running?

aftermarket whitebox pads? try honda pads, i find the cheapie pads have big metal particles in them that squeel. also sometimes rocks between the dust shields and rotors will cause this too

Re: Funny brake noise
If someone bent the warning tab and it's touching the rotor it will give you that sound.
They are small metal tabs on the front brakes that are made to touch the rotor when the pad is nearly worn out, if one or both of the tabs are bent they will give you that sound long before the pad is worn out.
Check the tabs.

Check if the warning tab is bent for any reason. If you have ceramic brake pads on a metallic compatable rotar they could be over heating, and potentially tearing up your rotars.... or vice versa. Pictures of your brakes would be most handy.
