Anybody have HID fogs? What Bulb?
Looking to get HID's in my fogs. Can anyone tell me what bulb i need for an 06 SI?
I found this deal, and i'm leaning towards getting the the 3k in yellow.
Should i get the Xtreme HID 3000k for $249.99?

I would get neither, fog reflectors are awful for controlling light. It's one thing to have a crappy kit setup in your headlights, but in the foglights, that's another story. I wouldn't do it at all, if you want the color get some tinted bulbs or film, otherwise you'll just be glaring up everything.

HID kits are garbage, period.
Regular halogen headlights or fog lights chrome reflectors weren't made to handle or direct hid rebased bulbs; most of the light will be uncontrolled and will be lighting up trees and the sky and only less than 50% will go to the road; they blind everybody, oncoming traffic, pedestrians, birds, cops, etc...
Fog lights are made to help you see thru bad weather condition, like rain, snow and fog.
Still none of the expensive car has came with hid in fog lights because that powerfull light will bounce against fog, snow or rain and will go straight back to your eyes and blind you big time.
That's why all cars have halogen fog lights.
Get some yellow colored halogen bulbs or tint them.
But in case you still want to waste your money, then try the yellow headlights and let us know how you like them.
Hope that helps.

At least someone said it besides me...I'm always bitching about HID kits and I didn't want to start another agrument...fog lights don't have as good of reflectors that headlights do, they spread their light more and are not really focused. A kit in there would send glare everywhere and you won't be able to see in bad weather because it will light up the sheets of fog or rain in front of you.
Headlight kits are bad because they weren't meant to handle that much light and this produces glare and poor light dispersion. In conclusion, HID kits are bad

Re: (dontbother)
I to am have a retrofit done by customlightz on my headlights and was thinking
of doing the HID 3000k's in the stock Fogs. I think with Beam it is model to model.
I have been told by a few people that the Beam of the HID's in the Stock 06 OEM
Fog's is very close to the beam of the stock bulbs just brighter?
I would love to see some photos?
And hear what you guys have to say about this?

Fogs shouldn't be lighting up road signs, that's not their purpose. That means glare.
