Don't go with AEM, go with injen for the intake.

Its not crazy talk it already hooked up so i didnt have to do nothin to it.. So if i would have started from scratch with it i would have been asking the same question im asking here but more detailed cause there is alot u can do to the TypeR..

Right now the EX and down models are still fairly limited (well, ok all the new civics are) on performance mods. If I were you, I'd spend this time to build suspension and such up to get yourself ready for later power modifications.

after your all done payin for the Si.... you will have paid EASILY 5000 or more on intrest... if you buy .. say a DX + the turbo kit.. it's cheaper than an Si + Turbo all together to build it just as fast a car.

just because the MSRP of an Si is only 1000 or 2000 more than EX doesn't neccessarily make it CHEAPER than getting an EX and turbo.. unless you pay cash for the Si... so .. ease up on your assumptions and illiterate remarks pal

again, you need to STOP assuming... I'm not at all concerned with my motor's performance right now. I'd rather build up my suspension and wait for other options down the road on the motor... i commute to work, so an Si is not as practical as a DX/LX/EX

you should be kicking yourself in the *** for that remark because the same damn thing applies to those who choose to modify their Si, they're not happy with the stock performace (although more powerful than the non-Si) so they add I/H/E to it... turbo.... supercharger.... etc....

keep in mind.. everyone has a different scenario in life and for some people the Si is not in the market. Only reason I dont have an Si is cuz when I got my EX the Si wasn't even for sale yet and I was in a bad siutation with NOT having a car and needed a car ASAP .. i didn't have the luxury of waiting..

So keep an OPEN MIND and stop assuming

I bought the DX model to play around with it a little. Trust me, for the money I spent alone on installing an A/C into this model, I definitely could've gone with an LX or better. And at the end of the day, I don't regret ONE BIT with my purchase, so needless to say, no kicking my own *** necessary. It's about personalizing my car strictly to my own taste, so if you can find another Taffeta White DX that looks like mine in LAOS, or wherever you're from, you take a pic and let me know!!

I don't think a turbo LX is going to SMOKE an Si... maybe hang with it or maybe pull just a bit but there's more factors than whp...

Personally I like the non-painted matching stuff on his car. The contrast is quite nice.

Might as well ad this in. Get off your high horse, it's JUST an SI. My V6 Accord is JUST an accord, but it would most likely stomp your SI out

And then some M3 will roll up and smoke me.. and a Ferrari will come up and smoke him.. It's just not practical to bash other people's cars, because someone can always work you over with their car

how so? why would I trade it in for an Si, so that I can be deeper in debt? For what? basically the only difference to me being the motor... thats just not smart. I'd rather pay off the EX, keep the motor under warranty... and keep my motor options open down the road when i stop commuting and when i'm finished with college
