Default Sedan Hood Problem

problem happened after an oil change...? they prob screwed it up im thinking?
on my 01 sedan the hood when closed its propped open about half an inch and its getting on my nerves any idea of the cause? i was thinking it was the latch that is a little loose? any body know of what it could be??

Hey,

I bought my 01 civic with the same exact problem its just poped up half inch or so and it is also driving me crazy. I have not figured out how to fix it yet ahaha. I hope someone helps us out on this one

Maybe the latch is loose or something? I have no idea.

Ive lowered the latch as low as it can go but there is still a pretty big gap.
do you know what else could cause this?

could have been in a previous accident mine was and the hood sat like that i work at a body shop so i had the bodyman fix it he banged the **** out of the rad support and it made it go down and sit flush dont know if u guys wanna do the same but thats how mine got fixed

haha ive had the problem for a while. There are 2 ***** that twist. Its tricky you have to twist them both to basically the same height and it should even out the hood. I had ssome guy **** with mine i didnt even ask him to,but its such a pain to get back to normal i just gave up.

maybe they left a cap from a quart of oil under the hood i did that once and the hood closed but didnt sit flush...

Did that when I worked at Jiffy Lube a couple of times
My front end looks kind of like that now
Car has been in a couple accidents though

yeah my hood looks just like that pic but i didnt buy it like that it happend after i took it 2 get a oil change? i just been to lazy to take it back now... i bet theyl say its not their fault by now...
