You take the shiny end found at the top of the belt over your left shoulder, cross your chest with it, and insert the buckle into the female end by your waist on your right side like so:

cant be done without screwing up the signal to the srs unit, so u get the srs code, or the multiplex unit, inturn other things will not work....... for example if u remove the connector to the driver side door switch you will also loose the the dome light and lights on reminder.

Just for the sake of an argument....
Let's say you're autoxing and wearing a harness. In which case you don't wear the oem seatbelt. That damn 6-chime is going to beep at you every 30 seconds or so.
I admit--it is damn annoying.
It's one of those things--I wear my seatbelt, but I don't need the car nagging me to do so if I hop in and drive 1 mile down to the local pizza place through a residential neighborhood.
What's next--buzzing at you if you drive above 65 mph? Seriously--think about it.

lmaos, that'd be funny if the seat sent you electrical pulses if you dont have your seat belt on and are going over 55mph.

The ding turns off after a couple of minutes. I Found that out autocrossing with a harness.
Seat belts and harnesses have saved my life and the lifes of my freinds and fellow racers more times than I'd like to count. That's why my car doesn't move unless everyone has their belt on.

Go to the junkyard, find a seatbelt that matches your's in plugstyle, and cut off the seatbelt plug. That way you can just plug it in, and forget about the seatbelt entirely.
Just so you know, I do not recommend this at all. It is, by far, the most unsafe idea to not wear a seatbelt.

Just a question, not trying to ***** the post; but why does everyone tell people that ask this to wear there seatbelt? Not saying everyone here does but if they don't want to wear their seatbelt then they arent, no matter what you say. I personally am not comfortable wearing a seatbelt because of a couple of past experiences and do not need nor wish to have people scolding me about it.
To the op- the only way to get rid of the chime that i know of is is what matt said about the plug.

I've driven my 05 for quite a while and the dinging did not turn off. Anyone have similar experiences?

x2. Mine never goes off. I have driven a good hour and a half to see if it would go off, and it didn't.

There is no viable excuse to not wear a seatbelt. Did it call you a name or somthing?
