how many quarts does a 2001 civic lx tranny take??

hmm iono about the last post but i believe 3 quarts is fine for the transmission ... just fill and check the dipstick

anyonr have a link so i know 4 sure? I cant start the car till tommorow cause I lost the key, so I have to get another key tommorow. I put 4 quarts in so I need to know if I have to take any fluid out

Where are you filling the transmission at, and is your car level? Because you should be filling the transmission up to the point that which excess fluid should be coming out of the fill port.

noob question... mine is a manual, what fluids do I have to top off? Just the clutch and brake fluid?

What are you talking about? Why would you be needing to "top off fluids"?

Again, what are you trying to do with it? Meaning, why do you want to change fluids? What are you trying to achieve?

QUESTION i got a manual swap. i kno that theres auto trans fluid and manual trans fluid but i havent switched it.... should i switch the auto trans fluid to manual since i did a manual swap?

You should always run the type of transmission fluid, as your car has. Meaning, if you have a manual transmission, run manual transmission fluid. You can cause damage running the wrong fluid.
