Need help with slider pins
So, I think this is a stupid question, but I don't have access to a manual. Where are the slider pins located (2003 Acura 1.7 EL - same as Civic Si)?
I've replaced all four rotors and pads, cleaned the calipers, but I didn't see the longish bolt (slide pin) that I was expecting to see based on Youtube tutorial videos. There are the two 14 mm bolts connected to the rubber boots/gaiters on each caliper assembly, but these are very short and are clearly not part of the sliding assembly (on the rears, these rubber boots are attached to a 17 mm square nut). I'm not sure what's behind/inside of the rubber boot, however. Is the slide pin inside the rubber boot? I stretched them a little bit away from the caliper assembly, and the rubber boot seemed to deflate, which I believe indicates that it is a sealed component, therefore I didn't want to go and tear the rubber boot off of it. So instead, I proceeded on with the brake job, lubing all the contact points. All four calipers do move freely, but that's not because of anything I did today.
I feel like a retard. I even went out and bought the Sil-Glyde all excited to lubricate the calipers, but no joy. Was I supposed to remove the rubber boots and expose whatever is behind it? Can anyone help me out?

Re: Need help with slider pins
Got it. Thanks man. Hey, am I supposed to pull the pins out completely and clean the bore, or just pull out halfway, lube and reinsert? I've heard some people have issues getting the pin back in if you pull it all the way out because of an air pocket at the bottom of the bore.

I've always pulled them all the way out but, if you don't feel comfortable doing that then just pull them out most of the way.

I'll try pulling them out completely and cleaning the bore out. I don't know when the last time the pins were lubricated (at least three years ago, when I bought the car) and every morning I feel the rears binding until they pop loose with movement (although that might be a parking cable issue). Hopefully the pins slide back in without any issues. Thanks for your help!
