Icon6 Air-Con problems and etc.

Hey all, new member here.

I own a 2001 Honda Civic LX 2-door coupe. A few years ago the air conditioning stopped working and I didn't get it fixed because it was going to be costly. At the beginning of this summer though, I finally got it fixed and the mechanic installed a new compressor. The AC worked great for the entirety of the summer until around 2 weeks ago. 2 weeks ago I got a diagnostics check and an oil change from not my usual mechanic. I wanted to make sure everything on the car was up to speed because I would be driving it 700 miles to GA the following week. When I picked up the car, the AC didn't work on the way home and I couldn't for the life of me figure out why. The next day on the way to work the AC started working again and worked throughout the drive to GA and up until this morning. This morning I got into my car and the AC wasn't working again. When I click in the AC button the compressor switches so I know that's working but the cold air just won't come through. I got a free-on charge when I got the compressor replaced so that shouldn't be a problem. If anybody has any insight into this and could help me out, it would be much appreciated!

Thanks,
J

I had the same thing happened on my old civic (05). This could be a leaky radiator, low coolant, leaking head gasket, or bad/stuck thermostat. Those are the most common causes. Check those and go from there.

I had a similar problem last year with my civic but don't know if it will work for you. My problem was the A/C relay went bad I changed it and problem was solved
