Default 2005 Civic LX Oxygen sensors

Which should I get?

I take it there's on on top-front of the engine and one under.

Why is one $59 and another $200?

dude go on the site its pretty easy, press the big red "START" button, scroll to Honda, select 2004, select 1.7 engine, write "Oxygen" in the search field it will point you in the right direction, select O2 sensor from list and voila you have them all listed different companies that make them ... look for the ones that say LX/DX model in the description.. I cant show you because the site is flash based so I cant just link you the parts, but like I said it worked out to $52 Shipped for both (I chose the cheapest ones)

Mine is a 2003 LX I dont know if that matters

I just checked the Site, downstream for your car is no problem but upstream only shows the cheapest one is a DENSO Part # 2349005 and its around $120... HOWEVER I went to 2003 Civic LX and the listing for the exact same one is listed for my car as well I do have an option of a $20 Upstream one as well which is not listed in the 2005 model so since the Denso is listed for me as well I figure you could use the cheaper one from a 2003

ULTRAPOWER Part # 2344074
OE QUALITY REPLACEMENT SENSOR - UPSTREAM - DX - LX; DX Model
$16.10

ULTRAPOWER Part # 2344092
OE QUALITY REPLACEMENT SENSOR - DOWNSTREAM - DX - GX - LX; DX Model

$21.79

There you go... can be found in the 2003 Civic 1.7 SOHC Section

hey everyone i just ordered the 2344074 for an 2005 civic lx hoping that it'll fit because the 2349005 o2 sensor is 3x the price. can anyone confirm if the 2344074 fits in a 2005 civic? thanks in advance

The 04-05 uses a wideband sensor for the downstream thus the huge difference in price. If you want your car to run stock pay the money and get the more expensive one. It might throw your ecu out of whack if you replace with a narrowband sensor. It will still run with the cheaper sensor, but will it run as good as stock? It also might cause problems down the road. Spend the extra money and do it right. Also stick with the denso sensors as they are OEM.

Just to update you guys... I went ahead and bought the Denso 2344074 o2 upstream sensor to see if it'll work on a 05 civic lx. Of course, it fit and reset the CEL. After I drove the car for a couple of miles (maybe less than 10 miles), the car started twitching when I cruise or accelerate. The CEL also came back on a little after 10 miles. So to answer my own question on my previous post, do NOT buy this one for an 05 civic lx. I ordered the Denso 2349005 from amazon since it's cheaper than everywhere else I've checked and got 2 day shipping too. Hopefully it'll take care of my o2 problem.

The upstream sensor is not an oxygen sensor but a air fuel mixture ratio sensor, good luck!
